Turning The Tide on Child Wellbeing and Mental Health

Turning The Tide is the major fundraising event on our calendar, and a fantastic opportunity for hundreds of kind hearted locals in our community to get behind an important cause.

Each year we use this event to raise money for the most pressing social issue in our community at that time. This year, the pressure is on services that support the wellbeing and mental health of our tamariki (children) and rangatahi (youth).

In the past year three months alone, we have received 37 new referrals for children and youth who are facing complex and overwhelming challenges in their lives. That’s up from just 7 referrals over the same period last year, and is a sign of how difficult the uncertainty and disruption of the past couple of years has been on families our young people.

Not only are our counsellors in high demand but there is a need for additional spaces for these therapeutic sessions to take place, both in and out of the school environment. We need your support to help create these spaces so that we can reduce the barriers to support for the children of our community.

Our work with tamariki and rangatahi in our communities has demonstrated to us that they are brave, intelligent, resourceful, and hopeful for a better future. We can work together with schools, families & our community to provide the necessary care and support they need to heal, build on their strengths, and grow into thriving, confident citizens.

Turning The Tide as an opportunity for you, our community, to take a stand for the wellbeing of our young people. Help us raise $30,000.00 toward this important local cause.

This money will change lives.
